Social Development through CSR
Gram Unnayan Karma (GUK) is a Government approved Non Government organization (NGO) established in 1993 at Bogra district with the objective to create employment opportunity and scope for the disadvantaged poor people in the locality as well as their socio-economic development by providing different categories of services in income oriented activities with the active cooperation and support from different GOB, international donor agencies and own fund of GUK.
In addition to the normal activities as per instruction of PKSF and the policy of MRA the management of GUK has ethically approved CSR policy to provide exceptional financial support & corporation to the microcredit borrowers’ families as well as for the poor community people. The activities being implemented under CSR policy of GUK are; stipend facilities among the meritorious students of ultra poor microcredit borrowers family, non-formal, formal, technical educational support, health care support through GUK Eye Hospital, static and satellite clinics, arranging eye camps in the remote area for screening of eye patients, nutrition support, water & sanitation facilities, emergency support during disaster, disable rehabilitation, combat women and child trafficking, protect early manage and polygamy, establishment of human rights, welfare for old aged poor people, sports and cultural activities for poor communities as well as many other social development activities for the poor segment of the society in order to bring them in the mainstream of development activities.
